To prevent hearing loss, it is recommended that musicians proactively protect their hearing from the very beginning. This is because daily exposure to high decibel levels can lead to irreversible hearing damage over the long term. Using in-ear monitors and adjusting the volume appropriately during rehearsals and performances can effectively prevent hearing loss or tinnitus.
In addition, musicians are advised to see an ENT specialist regularly. A hearing test can quickly determine whether there is any hearing loss.
